■Product Description
The 8th Tactical Fighter Wing (commonly known as the "Wolfpack") was deployed to Ubon Air Base in Thailand, which became the US Air Force's frontline base in Vietnam, from December 1965, in the early stages of the Vietnam War. On January 2, 1967, they launched "Operation Boro" to eliminate MiG fighters that posed a threat during the so-called "bombing of North Vietnam," shooting down seven brand-new MiG-21 fighters that had just been supplied by the Soviet Union the previous autumn, in a single day. Furthermore, the F-4Cs under the "Wolfpack" command shot down a total of 22 MiG fighters before transitioning to the D model.
The included decals reproduce three aircraft, including the aircraft flown by Colonel Orz, the commander of the wing.
