■Product Description
The F-2B, developed as a two-seat version of the F-2A, features a tandem seat configuration that allows an instructor pilot to ride along, playing an indispensable role in training the next generation of pilots, including type conversion training and advanced combat flight training. Although its fuel capacity is slightly less due to its airframe structure, its basic performance is almost the same as the F-2A, boasting high performance. The 21st Squadron at Matsushima Air Base of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force operates many F-2Bs and uses them to train young pilots. Many F-2Bs were damaged in the Great East Japan Earthquake, but most of them have been repaired and continue to fly on the front lines. It can be called the JASDF's "wings of hope," born from technological prowess and a tenacious determination to recover.
This kit includes the conventional aircraft body, plus two pilot figures wearing standard JASDF helmets to further enhance the realism of the model.
