■Product Description
The F-4 jet fighter was developed as an air defense and air superiority fighter for the US Navy's carrier strike groups. Equipped with two high-output J79 turbojet engines, also used in the F-104 fighter, it boasts ample maneuverability and payload capacity. Due to the operation of its large air defense radar and complex fire control system, it is a two-seat fighter with a radar interceptor (RIO) sharing the workload. It is equipped with a powerful armament of eight missiles in total: four AIM-7 radar-homing missiles, which were the latest at the time, and four AIM-9 short-range infrared-guided missiles. The first mass-produced model of the F-4 series was the F-4B, and the F-4 was subsequently adopted by the US Air Force, with over 5,000 units produced, including variants. In this kit, the wings, thin high-pressure tires, and main landing gear for the B model have been newly manufactured. It is also possible to lower the air brakes on the underside of the wings. Antennas such as IR sensors are included as dedicated parts.
