■Product Description
Since the F-15J underwent modernization in 2004, it has been able to operate the domestically produced air-to-air missile AAM-5 (Type 04 air-to-air guided missile). To fire this missile, which can acquire targets over a wide area, pilots wear a targeting device called a cueing system, or HMD (head-mounted display), on their helmets. This kit includes a newly molded JASDF pilot figure wearing the latest HGU-68 helmet with an HMD. The figure also includes a head part combining an FHG-2 helmet and MO15 mask so that you can recreate earlier F-15 pilots. The mold design and manufacturing are by Tamiya, and the molding is done using the molding machines that mass-produce our Nano Aviation series.
