Curtis, the air pirate bodyguard who challenges the protagonist to a one-on-one duel in the climax of the movie "Porco Rosso," has had his aircraft modeled under the supervision of director Miyazaki. The model reproduces even the loading lever of the machine gun that he operated in the movie, and it also comes with an explanatory booklet that combines the movie's content with an explanation of the actual aircraft that served as the model's prototype. Markings can be applied to the aircraft from the anime as well as the aircraft that appeared in the original novel "The Age of Flying Boats."
