■Product Description
The Sd.Kfz.251 is the official designation for a medium armored personnel carrier developed by the German company Hanomag, based on a 3-ton half-track, starting in 1937 to allow infantry to follow tank units. The D model is a newer version with a simplified shape to reduce production man-hours, and production began in September 1943. The Sd.Kfz.251/7 is an improved version of the Sd.Kfz.251/5, equipped with a small assault bridge on the outside of the fighting compartment's side. Not only the D model, but all models of the Sd.Kfz.251 armored personnel carrier were used as the base chassis.
