■ Description
This is an introduction to the all-new Gold Type 1/72 XB-1 Supersonic Demonstrator from A&A models. The kit includes a painting mask, etching parts, and two cult graphing decals for the first flight and the first supersonic flight, which will be about 292mm long and about 89mm wide when completed.
The XB-1 is a supersonic transporter.・As part of the overhead development, it's a third-scale three-jet supersonic demonstrator designed in the United States. The XB-1, which is planned to maintain Mach 2.2 over a range of 1,900 kilometers, is composed of lightweight composite materials, with high-temperature nozzles and materials supplied by a supplier of high-temperature materials such as the Falcon 9 rocket. The aircraft, powered by three J-85 turbojet engines, flew for the first time in March 2024, underwent 11 manned test flights.・Because of the shutdown phenomenon, we were able to verify that the sonic boom did not occur in an audible form on the ground, the test program was rated as a success.
