■ Description
・It's an all-new gold 1/272 Hughes XF-11 prototype scout.
・We're going to have to re-create it until we get inside the engine and cockpit.
・I've got a paint mask, a cult graph decal.
・When it's finished, it's about 276 mm long and 429 mm wide.
The XF-11 was designed by the U.S. Army Air Forces.・The XF-11 was a prototype reconnaissance aircraft developed by Hughes for long-range photographic reconnaissance. Expected to have high performance, including two R-4360-31 air-cooled 28-cylinder engines and two four-winged variable pitch propellers, but one of the two prototypes built was accidentally crashed during the first flight, causing complete damage to Howard, who was piloting the aircraft.・Hughes was severely wounded. The prototype No. 2 propeller-equipped aircraft made its first flight in 1947 and showed poor stability in low-speed areas, but also good piloting performance in high-speed areas. As a result of the Air Force's evaluation tests, in addition to poor piloting and maintenance, the development plan was cancelled because it was expected to cost twice the production cost of the XF-12 anti-horse.
