From Modelsbit's sub-brand, A&A Models, we are pleased to present a completely new 1/48 scale XP-72 prototype fighter injection kit. Both kits include painting mask stickers and feature precisely reproduced details, including the engine and cockpit interior.
This is the first prototype (#36598) of the XP-72, a prototype fighter developed as a successor to the P-47 at the end of World War II. It is equipped with the then-most powerful 3,500-horsepower "Wasp Major" 28-cylinder air-cooled radial engine and employs a super-large Curtiss-type 4-blade propeller, and the kit is precisely modeled. This kit realistically reproduces the cockpit interior with completely new molds, and includes engine parts visible through the gaps in the spinner and cowling, as well as two types of canopies (open/closed). Furthermore, it includes painting mask stickers and one type of decal to reproduce this aircraft. When completed, it will be an impressive size with a total length of approximately 260mm and a total width of approximately 232mm.
