About the actual car
The Renault 4CV is a small French passenger car that was released in 1947 after World War II. Development started during World War II and it was unveiled at the 1946 Paris Motor Show. The four-door body adopted a full monocoque structure. It had a rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive mechanism. The engine at its debut was a 746cc water-cooled inline four-cylinder OHV. The suspension used four-wheel independent suspension with coil springs at both the front and rear. Its compact and approachable style was supported by a wide range of people in post-war France. In the 1950s, it became established as a lifestyle car. It was produced until 1961 and achieved a million-selling status with a total of more than 1 million units produced. In addition, its excellent driving performance was demonstrated in motorsports. It achieved class victories in races such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

It has 101 parts and the finished model will be 151mm long and 60mm wide. It is a fully detailed model that even reproduces the engine. In addition, this kit also includes one female figure dressed in the fashion of the time. When displayed together, it brings to life a scene from 1950s Paris. The 4CV model realistically expresses the distinctive rounded body. Detail parts such as the front and rear bumpers and turn signals are modeled as separate parts. The interior trim, seats, and dashboard are also realistically and three-dimensionally finished. The floor pan, with its reproduced press lines, and the front and rear suspensions are also mechanically modeled as separate parts. The rear features a straight 4-cylinder engine, complete with auxiliary components. This kit, combined with the female figure, tells a story.
