This is a plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the German self-propelled gun Hummel of World War II in 1/35 scale.
About the actual vehicle
The Hummel self-propelled gun was created by the German army in World War II by mounting a 15cm howitzer on the III/IV chassis. The chassis, called the III/IV chassis, was based on the chassis of the Panzer IV Ausf. F, with the same transmission as the Panzer III, etc., and an open-top fighting compartment was created and the sFH18 heavy howitzer was mounted on it. It was completed in 1943 and was active on various fronts from the Battle of Kursk until the end of the war. The chassis utilized components from the Panzer III and Panzer IV, and the engine was also located in the center of the hull. The open-top fighting compartment built on top was surrounded by 10mm thick armor plates, and mounted in the center was the 15cm heavy howitzer, sFH18. It boasted a maximum range of 13,000m.
