This is a 1/72 scale painted plastic model of the mid-production Ausf. J of the Panzer IV, which played an active role as the main battle tank of the German army in World War II.
About the actual vehicle
During World War II, the Pz.Kpfw.161, the Panzer IV, was a tank that earned the trust of German soldiers. Production began in 1936, and from the beginning, it was designed with ample room in mind, so the basic dimensions remained unchanged, and numerous improvements and enhancements were continued to suit the war situation, resulting in the production of approximately 8,500 units. It was used throughout the entire period from the beginning of the war to the end. The Ausf. J was the final production model among them. This is the successor to the previous H-type, but the differences are not so much improvements as simplifications, such as simplified equipment to facilitate production and reduced fuel consumption. The biggest difference is that the auxiliary engine for generating power for the turret's rotation motor was eliminated, making it manual. It was produced from June 1944 to March 1945 and continued to fight valiantly on various fronts until the end of the war.

About the model
This model is a 1/72 scale plastic model of the mid-production model (produced in August-September 1944) of the J-type, the final production model of the Panzer IV, known as the German warhorse.
The rugged style of the Panzer IV J-type is realistically reproduced. It is equipped with Schurzen on the sides of the hull and around the turret, and the Schurzen on the sides of the hull are modeled with some parts removed. The total length is approximately 75mm and the width is approximately 40mm. Not only the shape of the hull, but also the hatches and rear panel, etc., are sharply reproduced down to the smallest details. Furthermore, the lower part of the hull also features details such as the bolts and rivets on the underside and sides. The upper part of the hull also realistically reproduces the details of the engine deck. The coloring is based on a vehicle that was active on the Western Front in 1944, with a camouflage paint job that includes distinctive dots, as well as realistic weathering paintwork. This is an essential item for any 1/72 collection. ■Product Specifications Manufacturer: DRAGON Item No: DRR63264 Product Specifications: Pre-painted finished product for display only Size: Approximately 75mm in length Scale: 1/72 JAN: 0089195632647
