9580208620121
1/200 USS Mobile Bay CG-53
■Product Description
The Mobile Bay is a guided-missile cruiser of the United States Navy, and the seventh ship of the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruisers. The ship is named after the Battle of Mobile Bay in the American Civil War. The Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruisers were based on the Spruance-class destroyers and were redesigned to accommodate the Aegis system, becoming the first operational Aegis ships. Construction began in 1978, and 27 ships of the same class entered service between 1983 and 1994. Along with the Cleveland-class light cruisers, it boasts the largest number of ships built among U.S. Navy cruisers, and with the retirement of the California-class nuclear-powered guided-missile cruisers in 1999, it is the only cruiser in the U.S. Navy's fleet. Compared to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers, which began construction slightly later, this class boasts enhanced combat command capabilities, a larger payload of naval guns and missiles, and a larger hull resulting in better habitability and a longer cruising range. Furthermore, as the captain holds the rank of captain, this class often assumes the role of air defense command ship within carrier strike groups. Following the basic design of the Spruance-class, this class features a two-deck, full-length wavebreaker configuration with a long forecastle cutout at the aft end. However, modifications were made to the bulkhead deck and internal compartments to accommodate the increased displacement due to the Aegis system. The superstructure was also enlarged to accommodate the AN/SPY-1 multi-function radar antenna. The main propulsion system retains the COGAG configuration of four LM2500 gas turbine engines driving two variable-pitch propellers, as used in the Spruance-class. However, the power supply was strengthened with the addition of four gas turbine generators to accommodate the Aegis system.

■Product Specifications
Manufacturer: I Love Kit
Item No: ILK62012
Product Specifications: Kit Overview:
・Number of parts: 980 or more
・SH-60B of the same scale included
・Total length when completed: approx. 865mm, total width approx. 82.9mm
・Etched parts and metal chain included
・Display stand included
Scale: 1/200
JAN: 9580208620121

■Notes
*Due to manufacturer circumstances, the expected arrival month and the actual product specifications may change.
