■Product Description
The Tempest F.6's distinctive wing root leading-edge intakes and tropical filter under the fuselage center are reproduced with newly molded parts. New bomb and rocket parts are also included. Three types of Royal Air Force decals are included. The Tempest F.6 was developed for the Pacific theater, but the war ended before it could be deployed to the Pacific, so only a small number were produced compared to the Mk.5. This aircraft is characterized by its tropical air filter, a large radiator to cope with the high output of its Sabre 5 engine, and carburetor and oil cooler intakes mounted on the leading edge of the wing roots, similar to the Mk.2. The F.6 was deployed to Cyprus, Iraq, Egypt, and other locations after the war. The Tempest F.6 became the last propeller-driven fighter aircraft of the Royal Air Force.
