■Product Description
About Ed Roth
Ed Roth was a leading figure in American lowbrow art and enjoyed worldwide popularity among young people.
He is also known as the creator of the rat character Rat Fink, familiar to American car fans. After retiring from the military in the 1950s and working several jobs, he started building custom cars in his home garage.
A distinctive feature of his work was the use of fiberglass, which allowed for easy creation of free shapes in order to realize his original designs.
Ed Roth gained attention for his custom car production, but he became widely known for his comical rat character, Rat Fink.
In the 1960s, goods featuring Rat Fink became extremely popular among young people across the United States. Also in the 60s, kits of his original monster characters were released by Revell, and along with Rat Fink, they became popular with a wide range of people.
