About the real car.
Fiat's rally car in the late 1970s was the Fiat 131 Abarth. It was developed by Abarth, who was responsible for the motorsport division based on the 131 Mirafiori sold as a small saloon from 1974 to 1984. The car was introduced in 1976 and debuted in the sixth round of the same year. The engine was powered by a four-cylinder 1995cc twin-cam 16 valve. The car was powered by 200 horsepower. The body was fitted with a front rear spoiler and a large overhanger.
