■Product Description
The Challenger 3 is a modified and improved main battle tank based on the Challenger 2, currently under development in the UK. Equipped with a new turret featuring a 120mm L55A1 smoothbore gun on an improved chassis, the Challenger 3 incorporates numerous cutting-edge technologies, combining high firepower and survivability, making it more than just an extension of the Challenger 2's lifespan; it can be considered a "major update" vehicle. In 2021, the plan to modify 148 Challenger 2s and rename them Challenger 3 was officially decided, but concerns about delays and project stagnation arose. However, in 2025, the Challenger 3 completed mobility tests covering approximately 800km across various terrains in the UK, and in June 2026, it made its first public appearance at the Bovington Tank Museum's "TANKFEST 2026" event.
