■ Description
The MiG-21 is a fighter aircraft developed by the Soviet MiG Design Agency in the 1950s and exported and deployed around the world.
The MiG-21MF was first flown in 1970 with an R-13-300 engine and an RPG-22 radar.
The MiG-21MF, the main export type, was produced at the MMZ plant from 1970 to 1974 and became the main aircraft of the Warsaw Pact countries.
After the end of the Cold War, many of the MiG-21MFs were retired, but in countries that did not operate the MiG-21bis, such as the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Romania, they remained in service for a long time until their successor was selected.
In other countries, after the MiG-21bis was deployed, it was primarily used for combat bombing and reconnaissance.
