■Product Description
The USS Indiana (BB-58) was the second ship of the South Dakota-class battleships.
Launched in 1941, the Indiana joined the Pacific Fleet and went to the front lines, participating in battles such as the Battle of Tarawa in 1943 and the Battle of the Philippine Sea in 1944. After the war, it was placed in reserve in 1946 and decommissioned in 1947.
The Indiana received nine battle stars for its service in World War II.
The kit consists of an injection-molded plastic body, with the "Standard Edition" including decals, and the "Deluxe Edition" (this product) including photo-etched parts, metal gun barrels, wooden deck decals, and other detail-up parts in addition to the contents of the "Standard Edition".
This is a wonderful kit that reproduces the appearance of the Indiana during World War II as a waterline model with delicate detail.
