■Product Description
The Me262 HGIII is a redesigned version of the Me262, the world's first jet fighter to be deployed in combat, with the aim of increasing its speed.
HG stands for Hoch-Geschwindigkeitsjäger (high-speed fighter). The redesign of the Me262 was divided into three stages. In the first stage (HGⅠ), the shape of the canopy was changed to a streamlined shape and the horizontal stabilizer was given a sweep angle. In the second stage (HGⅡ), the main wings were also changed to have a sweep angle, and in the third stage (HGⅢ), the sweep angle of the main wings was made even larger and the design was changed to house one engine at the root of each main wing. There are three further concept designs for the HGIII, and Concept 3 is a design in which the cockpit is integrated with the vertical stabilizer.
