■ Description
In 1937, the German Army demanded the development of a new motorcycle. Its demanding performance was 80 km/h, 95 km/h in the outburns, and 4 km/h in the off-road as well as the minimum speed for troops. The K75 and R75 met this requirement, but after evaluation, the K75 was officially adopted in 1940.
The R75 suffered from engine problems on the Russian front during the evaluation period with the KS75, due to accretion problems due to the harsh environment. Its dissolving position on the fuel tank is a major feature of its appearance. The front-wheel fork is fitted with anti-missile fork boots.
