■Product Description
The U-2 was a high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft designed by Lockheed's top-secret development division, "Skunk Works," and operated by the US Air Force, CIA, and Taiwanese Air Force. Developed based on the F-104, it made its first flight in 1955. Capable of flying at altitudes of over 20,000m and equipped with special cameras, it played an active role in intelligence gathering in communist countries such as the Soviet Union during the Cold War. The US Air Force still operates modified versions today. The kit precisely and accurately models the C-type, which has a different engine and larger intakes than the A-type.
