■Product Description
〇Fast Tank (BT Tank)
Soviet tank development was divided into four lines, and the fast tank (BT tank) was one of them. The Soviet Union purchased the American Christie tank, which had recorded exceptionally high speed for a tank, and research and development proceeded based on this. The first mass-produced model, the BT-2, was delivered to the military from 1932, and improvements to the turret and armor were made thereafter. On the battlefield, fast tanks sometimes overwhelmed other countries' tanks in offensives, but their armor was thin, and they were often fatally damaged by anti-tank guns and field guns. The BT-7 was a larger version of the previous mass-produced model, the BT-5, with strengthened armor and engine. The BT-7 did not solve the armor issues of fast tanks, but it paved the way for the development of the highly mobile medium tank, the T-34.
