■Product Description
The Richelieu was commissioned in April 1940 as an enlarged and improved version of the preceding Dunkerque-class battleship.
A distinctive feature of this class is the concentration of two quadruple main gun turrets at the bow of the ship, while the three secondary guns at the aft were not dual-purpose but were divided into anti-ship and anti-aircraft guns. In addition, the funnel was a modern MACK, which also served as the aft mast. Boasting excellent concentrated defense and high speed performance, this class was a well-balanced ship befitting the end of the French battleship fleet.
