■Product Description
Lexington was initially planned as a battlecruiser, but due to the disarmament treaty, its design was changed to an aircraft carrier, and it entered service in December 1927. It survived the attack on Pearl Harbor at the start of the war, and in the Battle of the Coral Sea in May 1942, the first ever confrontation between two aircraft carrier task forces, the attack force of Lexington and Yorktown sank the aircraft carrier Shoho and severely damaged Shokaku, but Lexington itself was severely damaged by the attack force of Shokaku and Zuikaku, and was scuttled by a torpedo from the American destroyer Phelps.
