■Product Description
The Gearing-class is the final development of the Fletcher-class and Allen M. Sumner-class. Commissioning began in March 1945, just before the end of World War II, and 96 ships were completed. Most ships were commissioned after the war and were used for a long time, undergoing modifications, and remained in service with the U.S. Navy until the 1970s. They were also widely supplied and used by Western countries thereafter. The last ship was decommissioned in 2014.
