■Product Description
The Leopard 2, the main battle tank representing the modern German Army, replaced the Leopard 1 and entered service in 1979. The main gun was upgraded from the previous 105mm gun to a more powerful 120mm smoothbore gun. Also, the turret was a rectangular turret with a vertical front section until the early production A4 model, but from the A5 onwards it was equipped with wedge-shaped additional armor.
The Leopard 2A7+ is a modernized version of the A6M with reinforced armor to improve mine protection, and is fitted with modular armor on the sides of the hull. In addition, it is equipped with an RWS (Remote Weapon System) on the top of the turret, enabling remote operation of 12.7mm machine guns and other weapons from inside the vehicle.
