■Product Description
This is the lead ship of the Special Type destroyers, which were designed with a compact hull and maximum armament to compensate for the reduction in the strength of capital ships due to the Washington Naval Treaty of 1921. Commissioned in 1928, it participated in many operations after the start of the war, but was sunk by concentrated bombardment from the US Navy in the Battle of Savo Island in October 1942.
