■Product Description
The Hiei was commissioned in 1974 as the second ship of the Haruna-class, the first helicopter-carrying destroyer (DDH) of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.
It operated for a long period of time with the Haruna and two improved Shirane-class destroyers, a total of four ships.
It was subsequently decommissioned in 2011 with the commissioning of the Hyuga-class, which has a full flight deck.
The kit reproduces the ship in its final configuration as a full-hull model.
