■Product Description
The Takanami-class destroyer is a fourth-generation general-purpose destroyer built as an improved version of the previous Murasame-class.
It boasts high capabilities and plays an active role as a main vessel of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.
"DD-110 Takanami" is the name ship of this class, which entered service in 2003 and is currently based in Yokosuka.
It has also participated in overseas deployments to the Indian Ocean and off the coast of Somalia.
The Sugashima-class minesweeper is a medium-sized minesweeper built as an improved version of the Uwajima-class.
It bears the important responsibility of disposing of mines laid in the waters surrounding Japan and protecting maritime traffic.
The kit features newly molded parts for the hull bottom.
Decals for the current white helicopter landing markings are also included.
