In May 1944, the 634th Air Group formed the 4th Air Fleet together with Ise and Hyuga.
The Zuiun were assigned to Ise as their mother ship.
In June of the same year, the 634th Air Group began catapult launch tests together with Ise and Hyuga.
The model is based on Ise during the Battle of Leyte Gulf in October 1944.
The product depicts the Ise after it was converted into an aircraft battleship in 1943, with its rear 5th and 6th turrets removed and a hangar and flight deck installed, giving it a unique appearance.
□With its anti-aircraft armament strengthened, Ise played an active role in escorting the Zuiun in the Battle of Leyte Gulf, Operation Sho-Go 1, and Off the Coast of Engaño.
□The four main guns have rotating turrets, and the eight 12.7cm twin anti-aircraft guns are movable up and down.
