■Product Description
This is an etched parts version of the "Shinano" that comes with a wave base that can realistically depict the ship sailing.
【Structure and Specifications】
・It is made up of pre-colored parts, so the desired coloring can be reproduced without painting.
・It is a snap-fit assembly, so it can be assembled without using glue.
・A sea surface base is included to reproduce the ship sailing on the ocean and to display it in a more realistic way.
・Etched parts are included that can express even the smallest details that are difficult to reproduce with injection molded parts.
【Product Features】
・The scale is 1/700.
・The product is modeled after the shape of the ship at the time of its completion in November 1944, with the remaining work completed.
・Although it is the sister ship Yamato and Musashi in reality, a distinctive feature is that dedicated parts are used instead of sharing parts to express the differences.
・The display sea surface base realistically depicts the wake generated from the bow, sides, and propellers.
Hull
・The hull is split into left and right halves, and the arrangement around the bow bellmouth is reproduced with accurate historical research.
・The molded color is a dark and light green, mimicking anti-submarine camouflage.
・Some parts, such as the canvas openings on the sides, are represented with highly conformable sealant.
・The portholes lining the sides are reproduced with delicate sculpting, showing the difference between closed and unclosed shapes.
Flight Deck
・The flight deck is made of two pieces. The parts are divided into the concrete-covered deck section and the outer edge section, making it ideal for painting.
・The cement-covered section is molded in a light gray color, brighter than the battleship color.
Armament
・The main guns can be elevated and rotated. Achieves both a minimal number of parts and realistic molding.
・The 46cm main gun barrel is in an open state using a slide mold.
・To reproduce the additional machine gun mounts on the No. 2 and No. 3 main gun roofs, dedicated parts are prepared for both the main gun roofs and machine gun mounts.
・The secondary guns are rotatable, and the barrel and turret are a one-piece structure.
Bridge
・The bridge uses division and slide molds to minimize seams between parts and integrates the parts.
・The shape of the chimney and the structure near the aft boat deck are three-dimensional based on recent documents and research.
Chimney/Mast/Fittings
・The shape of the chimney and the structure near the aft boat deck are three-dimensional based on recent documents and research.
・The chimney is composed of three parts, and the steam exhaust pipe is realistically shaped while being integrated with the support structure.
・The cap part (grille) at the top of the chimney is hollowed out, creating a very realistic shape with a sense of depth.
・The bridge is made into a single part using slide molding. All four sides have intricate sculpted details for a realistic look.
・The high-angle gun mounts have strip patterns, and the hangar walls have monkey ladders, achieving a high-density look with detailed sculpting on surfaces that tend to be monotonous.
・Bonus parts include adhesive-type "horizontal binoculars" and "machine gun ammunition boxes," parts for detailed finishing.
Aircraft
・Four types of aircraft are included: "Shiden-kai," "Ryusei," "Saiun," and "Ohka."
・The Shiden-kai comes in two colors: the standard dark green and a yellow-orange color modeled after the prototype Shiden-kai II.
・The landing gear of the Ryusei, Saiun, and Shiden-kai is molded as one piece, and separate parts for the landing gear with even more detailed sculpting are also provided.
Included stickers
・Pre-cut stickers with excellent adhesion are included, making it easy to paint the details.
・The included stickers are specially colored to match the cement-covered flight deck.
・The included stickers include canvas coverings for the hull sides, linoleum for the bridge floor, and white lines for the flight deck, allowing for color representation without painting.
・In addition to the stickers, decals are included for painted finishes, including white lines for the flight deck and Hinomaru (Japanese flag) markings for the aircraft.
・The box art is an original illustration by illustrator Takeshi Kurokawa, depicting the ship sailing at high speed under a clear sky.
・The molded parts consist of 7 colors in total. (Kure Naval Arsenal color, hull bottom color, black, dark gray, gold, dark green, clear blue)
