The Wave Series now includes a sea surface stage that allows you to easily and realistically depict the ship sailing after completion!!
(Structure and Specifications Features)
・Composed of pre-colored parts, the desired coloring can be reproduced without painting.
・Snap-fit assembly, so it can be assembled without using glue.
・A sea surface base is included to easily and realistically display the ship sailing on the ocean.
(Product Features)
・Modeled after the Ten-Go Operation (Okinawa Special Attack Operation) in April 1945. Scale is 1/700.
・The display sea surface base three-dimensionally expresses the wake generated from the bow, sides, and propellers.
Hull
・The hull is divided into left and right halves, separated by the waterline. Molded in a special gray color that mimics the battleship color used at the Kure Naval Arsenal.
・To depict the portholes as mostly closed, dedicated side parts are used, with recessed engraving for open ports and raised engraving for closed ports, resulting in a highly detailed reproduction.
・The raised external electrical conduits attached to the sides of the hull are accurately represented, including the fastening points.
Armament
・The main guns can be elevated and rotated. Achieving both a minimal number of parts and realistic molding.
・The direction of the 46 cm main gun barrels is set to open using slide molds.
・To reproduce the additional machine gun mounts on the No. 2 and No. 3 main gun roofs, dedicated parts are prepared for both the main gun roofs and machine gun mounts.
・The secondary guns can rotate, and the barrels and turrets are a single-piece structure.
Bridge
・The bridge uses division and slide molds to minimize seams between parts, and the parts are integrated.
・The No. 22 radars on both sides of the bridge are dedicated parts to reproduce their relocated appearance.
・The 15-meter rangefinder and compass are designed to be rotatable.
・The additional crew waiting area and enlarged signal deck behind the bridge are provided as dedicated parts.
Chimney/Mast
・The chimney is a left and right combination type, with the steam exhaust pipes, whistle pipes, and monkey ladder all represented as one piece.
・The cap part (grille) at the top is hollow, creating a very realistic molding with a sense of depth.
・The mast is a two-piece structure, with the Type 13 radar that was installed during this period integrated into the design.
Aircraft
・Two types of aircraft are included as dedicated dark green color parts.
・One each of the Type 0 (three-seat) seaplane reconnaissance aircraft and the Type 0 observation aircraft.
・The panel lines are recessed engravings, and the propellers are integrated with the fuselage using slide molding for precise representation.
Display Sea Surface Base
・A special molded part made to match the waterline shape of the Yamato-class battleship, made of plastic. (Mold/2025 production)
・External dimensions are 396mm long x 134mm wide x (approx.) 17mm high, molded in clear blue (Color/B01)
・Reproduces the waves spreading from the bow to the sides of the hull, the subdued sea surface on the sides of the hull, and the sea surface formation generated from the propellers.
・The waterline section of the ship is compatible with the Yamato-class battleship in the Special Series as well as the Ship NEXT Series.
・Three 1mm thick spacers are included (made of paper) to increase the height of the bow.
Included Stickers
・Pre-cut stickers with excellent adhesion and followability are included, making it easy to paint the details.
・Includes waterproof canvas for the main guns and secondary guns, the walkway behind the No. 3 main gun, the naval ensign, and the Hinomaru mark on the carrier-based aircraft.
・Includes the banner of "Non-Reason, Law, Authority, Heaven," the Kikusui mark next to the chimney, and the flag of Lieutenant General Seiichi Ito, the last commanding officer.
