■Product Description
●The product can reproduce the appearance from the completion of ship preparations in 1941 to the start of the war.
●Etched parts are included that allow for detailed expression of even the smallest details that are difficult to reproduce with injection molded parts.
●The display base is a different part from the regular version, with a wooden deck/striped pattern.

●It can be made with the sculptural expression unique to the large 1/350 scale.
・The hull and bottom are divided into parts at the waterline. Both full-hull and waterline types can be reproduced.

・The parts are divided and colored to match the main color tones.
・The gray is a slightly lighter gray that imitates the Maizuru Naval Arsenal color, and the parts consist of a total of 6 colors including linoleum color and hull bottom color.

・The hull is divided into left and right halves. It is designed to fit together with boss press-fits.
・A dedicated part is provided to represent the completed appearance with the portholes not closed, compared to the final version of Yukikaze.
・Details that cannot be reproduced in 1/700 scale are expressed, including the fasteners for the external electrical conduits, the thickness of the steel plates, and the portholes and eaves.
・The hull bottom is molded as one piece. The thickness and overlap of the steel plates are reproduced, resulting in a precise surface texture.
・The water intake and drainage ports on the bottom, the sonar, and the rivets on the keel are reproduced with delicate engraving.

・The main guns are made of slide molds, creating a one-piece structure with molding applied all around the turret.
・The gun barrels can be elevated and depressed individually even after assembly, and the muzzles are expressed in an open shape using slide molds.
・Even the bottom surface, which will not be visible after assembly, is reproduced in detail, including the molding of the reinforcing girders.

・The 61cm quadruple torpedo launchers, a characteristic of the Kagero-class, are precisely reproduced with three parts: the cover, the torpedo tube, and the torpedo.
・After assembly, they can be pointed left and right and rotated.

・The bridge base is made of a single molded part, with the entire circumference of the side wall sculpted and engraved using a slide mold.
・The Type 94 compass on top of the bridge can be rotated even after assembly, allowing it to be aligned with the direction of the main guns.
・Dedicated clear molded parts are provided for the bridge windows.
・The mast has a two-piece structure with a front leg and two rear legs, reproducing the simple shape without radar.

・The funnel is made by joining the left and right sides, and the funnel cap is a mesh-like, open-cut design, resulting in a realistic finish.
・The black paint on the funnel cap and top of the funnel is reproduced in advance by coloring the parts.
・The steam exhaust pipes and galley funnels are made of separate parts from the engine funnels, resulting in a three-dimensional design.

・Brown molded and colored parts are provided for the linoleum sections of the fore and aft upper decks.
・The linoleum retainers are expressed with delicate engravings.
・The steel deck in the center of the upper deck features a finely detailed raised embossed anti-slip (strip) pattern.

・The aft torpedo reloader and searchlight base are integrated parts using slide molding, with embossing on both the sides and top.
・The stern is equipped with depth charges, using parts specifically for the ship at the start of the war.

・Pre-cut stickers are included to represent the naval ensign and the coloring of the inside of the cutter.

・Two sheets of etched parts are included, containing parts for adding railings and other parts, and parts to replace injection molded parts.
・The Type 93 61cm oxygen torpedo, 12.7cm gun barrel, and depth charges are made of metal parts.
・Two types of crew members are included, one sprue each: 70 figures mainly in standing positions and 71 figures mainly in working and firing positions.
・The crew members are molded in white to ensure good color development when painted.

The molded parts consist of seven colors: Maizuru Naval Arsenal color, hull bottom color, linoleum color, black, clear, gold, and white.

The destroyer Kagero was completed at the Maizuru Naval Arsenal in November 1939, as the lead ship and first ship of the 19 Kagero-class destroyers, just before the outbreak of war. The Kagero-class destroyers were a culmination of the shipbuilding know-how that had been developed through the evolution of the Special Type and Shiratsuyu-class destroyers. With a displacement of 2,000 tons, they were equipped with three twin 12.7 cm guns and two quadruple 61 cm torpedo tubes, and were fleet destroyers capable of achieving a speed of 35 knots with their 52,000 horsepower engines. Due to their high follow-through capability, the Kagero was engaged in escorting the carrier task force, which consisted of Akagi, Kaga, and others, in the early stages of the Pacific War, and participated in the attack on Pearl Harbor, the bombing of Port Darwin, and the Indian Ocean operation. From the time of the US landings and counteroffensive in the Solomon Islands, they participated in various operations to recapture Guadalcanal, and after Operation Ke (the Guadalcanal withdrawal operation), they were engaged in transport operations in the Solomon Islands area, but in May 1943, while on a transport operation to Kolombangara Island, they struck a mine in the Brackett Strait and were sunk.
