The parts are designed to fit together, making assembly easy.
The wooden deck section comes with special parts molded in a dark gray color instead of the conventional wood color.
The screw propeller comes with a more realistic gold molded part than the conventional beige color.
The product is based on the Ten-Go Operation (Okinawa Special Attack Operation) in April 1945 and was completely redesigned and molded in 2015. The hull and bottom parts are separated at the waterline, allowing for the creation of both a waterline model and a full-hull model. Special parts are used to express the difference in shape from the product at the time of completion or from 1944.
[Hull/Bottom]
The hull is divided into left and right sections, separated at the waterline. It is molded in a special gray color that mimics the battleship gray used at the Kure Naval Arsenal. The portholes are specially made to represent the ship with many of them closed, with recessed carving for open windows and raised carving for closed windows for a sharp and accurate representation. The raised external electrical conduits attached to the sides of the hull are accurately represented down to the fastening points. The bottom of the hull is made into a one-piece part using slide molding, eliminating the need to process the seams. The bulbous bow at the bow is realistically reproduced with a three-dimensional design. The rudder is a three-dimensional, rectangular shape, different from that of the third ship, Shinano. The surface of the rudder is also represented with precision, showing the seams of the steel plates. [Main Guns] The main guns can be elevated and rotated. Achieving both a minimum number of parts and realistic molding. The direction of the 46 cm main gun barrels is set to open using slide molding. To reproduce the additional machine gun mounts on the roofs of the second and third main guns, special parts are provided for both the main gun roofs and machine gun mounts. The secondary guns are rotatable, and the barrel and turret are a single-piece structure.
[Bridge]
The bridge uses a split and slide mold to minimize seams between parts, and the parts are integrated. The Type 22 radar on both sides of the bridge is a special part that reproduces its relocated appearance.
The 15-meter rangefinder and compass are designed to be rotatable.
The additional crew waiting area and enlarged signal station deck at the rear of the bridge are provided as special parts.
[Chimney and Mast]
The chimney is a left and right combination type, and the steam exhaust pipe, whistle pipe, and monkey ladder are all represented as one piece. The cap part (grille) at the top is hollow, creating a very realistic molding with a sense of depth.
The mast is a two-piece structure and is designed to integrate the Type 13 radar that was installed at this time.
[Aircraft]
Two types of aircraft are included as special dark green color parts.
One Zero (three-seat) seaplane reconnaissance aircraft and one Zero observation aircraft each.
Panel lines are recessed, and the propellers are integrated with the fuselage using slide molding for precise detailing.

・Includes waterproof canvas for the main and secondary guns, the walkway behind the No. 3 main gun, the naval ensign, and the Hinomaru mark on the carrier-based aircraft.
