1/700 Warship Next IJN Battleship Musashi (1942)

■Product Description
The base for the Musashi, depicting the ship as it was from its completion with four secondary guns and as the flagship of the Combined Fleet, has been newly designed!
The parts that differ from the previously popular Sho-Go 1 (Battle of Leyte Gulf) version have been reproduced with new molds!

The battleship Yamato, a symbol of the Imperial Japanese Navy, was equipped with the world's largest 46cm guns.
The Musashi, the second ship built for the Yamato, was completed in August 1942.
In October, radar, which was under development at the time, was added, and Musashi made its way to Truk Island in response to the rapidly changing Solomon Islands.
The first ship, Yamato, and the second ship, Musashi, stood proudly side by side in the anchorage, and in June 1943, it became the flagship of the Combined Fleet, flying its admiral's flag.
Afterward, in order to counter air attacks, the secondary guns on both sides were removed, and modifications were made to strengthen its anti-aircraft armament, leading to its participation in the Battle of the Philippine Sea and the Battle of Leyte Gulf…

□The product is designed to reproduce two different periods.
・The appearance shortly after completion, before the installation of the Type 21 radar (between August and September 1942)
・The period when radar was installed, when it was lined up with the Yamato at Truk Island, when Emperor Showa visited, and when it became the flagship of the Combined Fleet can be reproduced (September 1942 to April 1944)
□The top of the bridge is white, indicating its affiliation with the Combined Fleet, and is reproduced with the molded color.
□The wooden deck parts are newly designed parts to match the period when the secondary guns were installed.
□The wooden deck parts are beige in color, unlike the black molded color used during Operation Sho-Go 1.
□The included stickers include the Emperor's flag and the Admiral's flag, allowing you to reproduce the appearance when Emperor Showa visited or when Admiral Mineichi Koga, Commander-in-Chief of the Combined Fleet, was on board.
□The display stand has been renewed! It can be turned over and used as a parts holder during assembly.
