■Product Description
A full-hull version of the modified Suzuya-class heavy cruiser "Ibuki" has been produced with newly added molds.

(Basic Specifications)
・The product is an unpainted kit that requires gluing, assembly, and painting.
・The scale is 1/700, and it is a full-hull specification including the bottom of the hull.
・The product is composed of conventional (Special Series) molds and newly added molds.
・The part below the waterline is made with molds designed in 2025, and the part above the waterline is made with molds designed in 2020.

(Product Specifications)
・The product is modeled after the appearance of the modified Suzuya-class lead ship "Ibuki" if it had been completed as a heavy cruiser during wartime.
・The aft mast position and torpedo tubes, which differ from those of the Mogami-class, are reproduced with dedicated parts.

(Hull)
・Hull parts with the same cross-sectional shape as the later Mogami-class ships "Suzuya" and "Kumano". →The cross-sectional shape of the hull is a special mold part that differs from the earlier Mogami and Mikuma.
・The portholes are shown as they were after being closed based on lessons learned from the war.
→Reproduced with a special mold prepared separately from the heavy cruiser Mogami class of 1941.
・Parts are divided into left and right halves.

(Bridge)
・The forward mast is equipped with one Type 21 radar, two Type 22 radars, and an E27 radar.
→The Type 22 radar is miniature in size to pursue a sense of scale and has a realistic design.
・The bridge windows are transparent parts that allow for a more realistic finish.
・The anti-aircraft guns on both sides of the bridge are Type 94 anti-aircraft guns.
→The Mogami-class ships come with different parts for the Type 91 anti-aircraft gun
・The floor of the anti-aircraft command post and compass bridge features delicately sculpted grating.
・The anti-aircraft command post includes binoculars that can be attached to enhance the sense of precision.

(Fitting/Central section)
・A slender chimney is provided, a characteristic of the ships that have the same 10 boilers as the Suzuya and Kumano.
→A separate dedicated part is included for the forward smoke duct of Mogami and Mikuma, which is the thicker type.
・The funnel cap is a molded part in a "removed" state.
・The steam exhaust pipe is designed as a separate part to increase the sense of precision.
・The shelter section where the torpedo tubes are equipped is a three-dimensional representation of the spare torpedo storage area.

・The torpedo tubes are the quadruple type that was planned to be equipped in the initial plan.
→The torpedo tubes are dedicated parts for Ibuki.
・The position of the torpedo tubes can be selected and reproduced in any direction.
→Reproduces the normal state along the centerline and the rotated firing position. Possible
・The catapult (Kure Type 2 Model 5) is realistically reproduced with slide molding to recreate the side and top surfaces.

(Fitting/Stern)
・The aft mast is an Ibuki-specific part that reproduces the appearance when mounted directly in front of the No. 4 turret.
→A distinguishing feature is that the seaplane recovery crane and No. 13 radar are in different positions than those of the Suzuya.
・At the stern, depth charge rails and depth charges are reproduced as anti-submarine armament with dedicated parts.

(Fitting/Armament)
・The 25mm machine guns (triple/twin/single) come with precision machine gun parts that separate the barrel and gun mount.
→Easy to paint and paint by first painting gunmetal and battleship gray, then assembling and gluing the parts together on the runners
・The elevation angle of the main gun barrels is fixed

(hull bottom)
・The hull bottom parts are a single piece structure for both left and right
・The side bulges below the waterline are separate parts, while the hull bulges above the waterline are represented as one piece with the hull
・The shape of the shaft brackets and the curved shape of the eddy plates are realistically represented
・The thickness of the rudder mounting part is reproduced, and the surface of the balanced twin rudders is engraved for a three-dimensional design
・The hull bottom features engraved details of the water intake and drainage ports.
The bilge keel is integrated with the bulge, and the bulge reproduces the larger external shape after performance improvements.
(Aircraft)
Three "Zuiun" aircraft, which appeared as carrier-based reconnaissance seaplanes at the end of the war, are included.
The molded color is gray to improve workability (prevent damage when cutting gates).
(Included Decals)
Two types of decals, a total of three sheets, are included.
Two sheets of decals include markings such as the naval ensign, national flag, and the Hinomaru (Japanese flag) on carrier-based aircraft.
→Three sizes of naval ensigns, etc. are provided. Contents are based on the actual dimensions of 10 sq. ft, 6 sq. ft, and 3 sq. ft, scaled to 1/700.
→Includes the Hinomaru (Japanese national emblem) on carrier-based aircraft, friendly identification stripes (yellow stripe), etc., and the Hinomaru also includes the late-war version without the white border.
