■Product Description
The aircraft cruiser "Mogami," which has a vast aircraft work space at the stern, is now available as a full-hull model with newly added molds.
(Basic Specifications)
・The product is an unpainted kit that requires gluing, assembly, and painting.
・The scale is 1/700, and it is a full-hull specification including the bottom of the hull.
・The product is composed of conventional (Special Series) molds and newly added molds.
・The part below the waterline is made with molds designed in 2025, and the part above the waterline is made with molds designed in 2012.
(Product Specifications)
・The product is modeled after the first ship of the Mogami class, "Mogami," in 1943 after it was converted into an aircraft cruiser.
・The No. 4 and No. 5 main guns have been removed and an aircraft work deck has been newly installed.
・Features include the installation of the No. 21 radar, and the enlargement of the anti-aircraft command post and the forward machine gun mounts of the bridge. br>
(Hull)
- The hull is a one-piece structure with the port and starboard sides molded as one piece.
- The side bulges are separate parts.
- The reduced appearance due to the closure of portholes based on lessons learned from battle, using mold parts specifically for aircraft cruisers.
(Bottom)
- The bottom part is a one-piece structure for both sides.
- The side bulges are one piece above and below the waterline.
- The shape of the shaft brackets and the curved shape of the eddy plates are realistically represented.
- The thickness of the rudder mounting area is reproduced, and the surface of the balanced twin rudders is engraved for a three-dimensional design.
- The water intake and drainage ports are represented by engraving on the bottom of the hull.
- The bilge keel is integrated with the bulge, and the bulge reproduces the larger external shape after performance improvements.
(Upper Deck)
- One piece from bow to stern
→Detailed carvings have been added to enhance the sense of detail, such as the fasteners on the linoleum deck and the anti-slip features on the steel deck.
・Ventilation pipes and reels are represented as one with the deck.
・The anti-slip split pattern under the aircraft work deck is represented with delicate carvings.

・Various shapes such as machine gun ammunition boxes, mounting parts for single machine guns, and hose reels are reproduced.
・The shelter deck is a separate part, and the torpedo equipment section on the lower level is also accurately reproduced.
・The aircraft work deck is a single piece, and the truss girder structure on the underside is also represented.
(Bridge)
・The base of the bridge structure is a single piece with carvings on all four sides using slide molding.
・The machine gun mount in front of the bridge is represented with a dedicated part to represent its enlarged shape.
(Main gun turret)
・The seams of the heat shields on the sides and top of the turret are represented with detailed carvings.
(Chimneys)
・Both the front and rear chimneys are split into left and right sections
→Handrails and double scaffolding are expressed with delicate carvings
・The chimney's rain-shelter grate is open, allowing a view of the inner cylinder
・The steam exhaust pipe is a separate part from the chimney
(Masts and Aviation Equipment)
・The rear mast's lower truss structure is expressed as a single piece
→This allows for easy reproduction of the detailed shape without processing
・The seaplane recovery crane is a single piece made using a slide mold
→ The hook is also expressed with delicate detailing.
The catapult (Kure Type 2 Model 5) has realistic side and top details reproduced using slide molding.

The molded color is gray to improve workability (prevent damage when cutting gates).
Eight Zero (three-seat) seaplanes and four Zero observation seaplanes are included.
(Included Decals)
Two types of decals, a total of five sheets are included.
Four decal sheets include markings such as the naval ensign, national flag, and the Hinomaru on the aircraft.
→Three sizes of naval ensigns, etc. are available. Contents are based on the actual dimensions of 10 sq. ft, 6 sq. ft, and 3 sq. ft, scaled to 1/700.
→Includes the Hinomaru (Japanese national emblem) on carrier-based aircraft, friendly identification stripes (yellow stripe), etc., and the Hinomaru includes those without the white border from the later stages of the war.
・One decal sheet including the ship's name at the stern, white lines for the aft mast, waterline markings, etc.
