■Product Description
The well-balanced second ship of the Shokaku-class, one of the largest aircraft carriers of the Imperial Japanese Navy, is now available in a standard STD version and a PLUS version with additional parts!
(Basic Specifications)
・It is an assembly kit that uses adhesive, and is characterized by its detailed construction that pursues the ideal of sculpting.
・The molded color is mainly gray, and it is designed to be assembled while enjoying painting.
・Unlike the STD version, the PLUS version includes clear parts for some parts to pursue realism.
・The product is based on the time of the attack on Pearl Harbor, which marked the start of the Pacific War, and the period thereafter.
→The radar is not yet installed, and the bridge is equipped with a Type 94 anti-aircraft gun mount, with only one of the same mounts installed on the port side.
→The additional machine gun mounts at the bow and stern have not yet been installed.
→The markings, such as the white lines on the flight deck, are modeled after the start of the war in December 1941.
→The carrier-based aircraft include a trio of Zero Fighter Type 21, Type 99 Dive Bomber, and Type 97 Carrier Attack Bomber that were active at the start of the war.

・Windbreaks and 3 elevators are separate parts

→The windbreak fence can be displayed in the normal (down) or upright position.
・The deck's shape is expressed with detailed carvings.
・The wooden deck is expressed with detailed carvings.
→The depth is designed to allow for a three-dimensional effect through panel lining, while also considering the overall shape.
・Expansion joints are expressed with recessed carvings.
・The drainage gutters around the flight deck are reproduced.
・The surface of the landing markings is carved with rounded recesses.
・The truss structure on the underside of the flight deck is expressed with three-dimensional carvings.
●Bow and stern
・The anchor deck and stern deck are provided as separate parts from the sides.
・The anchor deck has a structure in which bollards and anchor viewing platforms are expressed as one piece.
→The deck surface features very fine split patterns (anti-slip) expressed with carvings.
→All flight deck supports are separate parts, realistically reproducing the shape of each individual support.
・The chrysanthemum crest is not integrated with the crest mounting plate, but a chrysanthemum crest part for processing a realistic engraving/replacement is included.
・The two-tiered boat deck at the stern is reproduced with separate parts.
→The boat cradles are represented as one piece with the deck, but a replacement cradle part with a realistic shape is included.
→The cradles are finely reproduced, including lightening holes (recessed engraving) and the shape of the pad parts.
→The deck surface is represented with a very fine split pattern (anti-slip) engraved.
→All flight deck supports are separate parts, reproducing each individual support.
→The onboard boats include 12m and 11m motorboats, a 13m special cargo boat, and a 6m passenger boat.

→The molded color of the 60cm signal searchlight is different from STD (gray), and a transparent molded part is included that can be realistically reproduced.
・Both funnel parts have an upper and lower split structure.
→Features such as the U-shaped exterior and the molded representation of the emergency smoke vent are well reproduced.
・Realistic molding with separate parts for the guide plate inside the chimney and the lattice structure at the tip of the chimney.
●Anti-aircraft armament
・The 12.7 cm twin high-angle guns are reproduced with and without shields as separate parts.
→The 12.7 cm twin high-angle gun/A1 type comes with realistic replacement parts.
→The elevation angle can be reproduced in a wide range, and the gun-side aiming shutter can be selected in two types: open/closed.
→The 12.7 cm twin high-angle gun with shield, Kai 2 type, comes with realistic replacement parts.
・The 25 mm triple machine gun is not a single molded part, but comes with finely molded parts.
→Realistic and easy to paint with the gun mount and barrel as separate parts.

●Fitting
・Mooring girders are separate parts from the sides
