■Product Description
This product is an unpainted kit that requires gluing, assembly, and painting.
The scale is 1/700, and it is a waterline model that does not include the hull bottom.
This product uses the same molds as the conventional (Special Series).

The battleship Musashi was the second ship of the "Yamato-class," the last ship type designed and built by the Imperial Japanese Navy, and was completed at the Kure Naval Arsenal in August 1942, the year after the start of the war.
It was an unprecedented ship, equipped with nine of the world's largest 46 cm guns as its main armament and a displacement of 64,000 tons. On the day of its completion, it was incorporated into the Combined Fleet.
As aircraft were becoming the main force of the era, Musashi underwent modifications to strengthen its anti-aircraft armament and participated in the Battle of the Philippine Sea and the Battle of Leyte Gulf.
In October 1944, the US military landed in the Philippines, and the ship participated in Operation Sho-Go 1 (Battle of Leyte Gulf) as part of the combined fleet including the Yamato and Nagato, but was sunk in the Sibuyan Sea by an air attack.

●The product is modeled after the ship's appearance from its completion in August 1942 to around October when the remaining work was completed.
・The ship had four secondary guns, one on each side, and the anti-aircraft gun augmentation had not yet been carried out.
・The Type 21 radar, which was installed immediately after completion, is mounted on the 15-meter rangefinder on top of the bridge.

●The hull is constructed with the left and right sides and the upper wooden deck as one piece.
・The numerous unclosed portholes, characteristic of the early stages of the war, are represented by raised molding.
・The wooden deck is represented by raised molding.
・The parts, including the hull and bottom plate, are molded in gray.
・The bridge and funnel are made of two halves joined together.

●The ship is primarily equipped with armament intended for fleet battles at the time of its completion.
・The main guns have the barrel and canvas integrated, and the elevation angle is fixed at the locking position.
・Four secondary guns are mounted on the ship, and the turret and barrel are integrated parts.
・The 25mm triple machine guns (without shields) come with both conventional molded parts and precisely molded parts from the 2018 mold, allowing for selection.
・The barrel elevation angle of the shielded 25mm triple machine guns can be selected from two positions: high elevation and locking position.
・Two types of carrier-based reconnaissance seaplanes are included: the Type 0 Observation Seaplane and the Type 0 (three-seat) Seaplane Reconnaissance Seaplane, with two of each included.
・The molded color of the carrier-based aircraft is gray.

●Three types of decals are included.
・Decals include the naval ensign, the Japanese flag, and markings for the carrier-based aircraft.
・Naval ensigns and other decorations are available in three sizes. The dimensions of the actual 10-width, 6-width, and 3-width ensigns are included in 1/700 scale.
・Includes the Hinomaru (Japanese national flag) and friendly identification stripes (yellow stripes) for carrier-based aircraft, including the Hinomaru without the white border from the later stages of the war.
・Decals are included for waterline markings, the chrysanthemum emblem on the bow, and the ship's name on the stern (two types: gold and solid warship gray).
・Decals are included to easily represent the walkway on the aircraft deck at the rear of the ship.

The molded parts are made up of two colors: gray and transparent.
