Two sea surface plates (molded in blue-green) are included for display purposes.
Shirane-class
Composed of 9 parts.
Accurately represents the distinctive helicopter deck at the stern, the centrally concentrated structures, and the superimposed 5-inch guns.
The helicopter transport rails on the helicopter deck are reproduced with delicate recessed engraving.
Kongo-class
Composed of 7 parts.
The bridge includes the SPY-1 radar section. Integrated design including
Represents the larger main gun shields compared to the next class, Atago-class
Lifeboat containers and torpedo tubes mounted on both sides of the stern are accurately shaped
The passageway in the center of the ship is represented by a recessed line, and the bow is designed without engraving as it differs depending on the ship and era

The SAM launcher and 5-inch gun mounted at the stern are separate parts, reproducing the characteristic two guns without omission
The stern vertrep markings and the combat passageway on the top of the bridge are reproduced with recessed engraving

Asagiri-class

The low bridge, large helicopter hangar, and other features of the Asagiri-class are recreated in 3D
The masts of the Asagiri/Yamagiri are special parts representing the early model equipped with the OPS-14
The mast of the Sawagiri is a special part representing the later model equipped with the OPS-24/3D radar
The area around the ASROC loading port below the front of the bridge is also reproduced in 3D
Hatsuyuki-class

The mounted 3-inch main guns are made into separate parts using extremely fine engraving techniques
The ship-to-ship missile SSM next to the funnel is delicately reproduced, down to the cylindrical exhaust pipe at the top of the funnel. The mast features a precisely crafted style with truss structure carvings on both the left and right sides.
Common to all ships.
The white lines on the upper deck walkways are recessed, allowing for reproduction with white paint panel lining.
The molded color is a newly developed shade specifically for JMSDF vessels, mimicking the "dark gray N4" of the open deck.
The included decals include markings to adorn the waterline, such as the ship number and old-style landing markings.
DDG173 Kongo includes special markings featuring the forward combat walkway and the frame around the helicopter deck as it appeared in 1998.
