The "Shinkai 6500" is the world's only manned submersible capable of diving to a depth of 6,500m.
It carries three people on board: two pilots and one researcher,
and conducts various research and investigations in the deep sea.
Since the system was completed in 1990, it has completed more than 1,250 dives,
and has been reporting new discoveries one after another.
