The 1989 WGP season began amidst the shocking news of the previous year's champion, Eddie Lawson's sudden move to Honda.
Lawson, working hand-in-hand with Irv Kanemoto, who was Spencer's chief mechanic, improved the NSR, which was specially designed differently from the YZR, and achieved a historic feat by winning the world championship for two consecutive years with different teams.
The kit reproduces Eddie Lawson's 1989 NSR500!
Based on thorough research of the actual vehicle, the single-axis crank V-type 4-cylinder engine, gull-arm rear suspension, and refined cowling form are precisely reproduced in detail.
The front forks can be selected between upright and inverted suspension.
A set of Cartograf decals with excellent color reproduction is included.
