The Jaguar was the first tactical support fighter aircraft jointly developed by Britain and France in 1965, with five types developed in total, including single-seat and two-seat versions.
Among them, the British Royal Air Force's GR Mk.1 was equipped with an excellent navigation/attack system, and with a digital computer and laser rangefinder/target detection system, it was able to perform supersonic low-altitude incursions.
The French Air Force's A model also saw improvements in capabilities with the addition of a laser rangefinder to the nose of aircraft from the 80th aircraft onward.
