This is a plastic model assembly kit of the Gneisenau, which appeared in May 1938 alongside its sister ship Scharnhorst as the largest, fastest, and most powerful battlecruiser in the German fleet, and made a name for itself in commerce raiding operations in the Atlantic, fierce battles with the British fleet, and the operation to break through the English Channel. Differences from the Scharnhorst, such as the aft mast located behind the smokestack and the catapults installed near the hangar and on the third turret, are faithfully reproduced, making it fun to collect the two ships side by side.
