■Product Description
[A high-speed battlecruiser with a well-proportioned style]
This is a plastic model assembly kit of the German battlecruiser Scharnhorst, which, along with its sister ship Gneisenau, roamed the Atlantic Ocean, utilizing its high speed of 32 knots, sank numerous ships including the British aircraft carrier Glorious, and continued to fight valiantly until it was sunk in December 1943. The kit faithfully models the well-proportioned and fierce style, including the sharply angled bow known as the Atlantic Bow and the smokestack with its top cut at an angle. The armament parts, such as the powerful 280mm main guns, 150mm secondary guns, and quadruple 20mm autocannons, are also sharply finished. The kit reproduces the appearance of the ship at the time of the famous English Channel Breakthrough Operation in February 1942.
