[Set of Pacific Rivals]
The Gato-class submarines of the US Navy began mass production with the outbreak of the Pacific War. More than 200 were produced, and they continued to deal damage to Japanese maritime transport. In response, the Japanese Navy deployed the No. 13 Submarine Chaser for attacking submarines. This is a plastic model assembly kit that includes two of each of these Pacific rivals. The Gato-class submarines can be reproduced in various types with selectable armament and periscopes, and the hull bottom and propeller parts are also included. The No. 13 Submarine Chaser, on the other hand, is precisely reproduced with depth charge launchers, 80mm high-angle guns, and anti-aircraft machine guns. Furthermore, two US B-24 Liberator bombers, which played an active role in attacking ships, are also included, so it would be interesting to compare their sizes.
