[Active in convoy escort and U-boat attacks]
This is a plastic model assembly kit of the US Navy escort carrier USS Bogue, of which a total of 11 were deployed from 1942 to 1943. They were mainly active in convoy escort and U-boat attacks in the Atlantic Ocean, and are also known for sinking the Japanese submarine I-52 which was heading towards Germany. The unique style of the Bogue, which was equipped with a flight deck on a cargo ship hull, is faithfully modeled. The flight deck includes not only elevators but also arresting cables for landing aircraft, all of which are precisely reproduced. Small parts such as anti-aircraft guns and lifeboats are also sharply finished. A total of 16 realistic aircraft, including Corsairs, Avengers, F6Fs, and Helldivers, are also included in the set.
