■Product Description
[The lucky destroyer that survived fierce battles]
Completed in 1933, it was first deployed in combat during the Sino-Japanese War and participated in numerous battles, including the invasion of the Malay Peninsula and Kiska Island, and the Battle of the Philippine Sea, fighting until the end of the war. This is a plastic model assembly kit of the Hibiki, one of the few lucky destroyers that fought until the end of the war. The Hibiki, which belongs to the final Type III of the Special Type destroyers, is characterized by its slender first smokestack and other features, and is reproduced in its appearance with enhanced anti-aircraft armament from 1944 onwards, including numerous 25mm triple machine guns. It would be interesting to collect it alongside the Akatsuki, which is also a Type III, or to compare it with other Special Type destroyers such as Fubuki and Ayanami.
