[Enjoy the perfected style of the strongest tank in model form]
The Panther, which appeared in 1943, became the main battle tank of Germany in the later stages of World War II. The final mass-produced G model, which appeared in 1944, was improved in the latter half of that year by incorporating lessons learned from combat. It was equipped with a gun shield known as a "chin" to prevent shells that hit the lower part of the main gun shield from flying into the vehicle and to enhance its defensive capabilities. A flame-suppressing exhaust pipe was also installed for night driving. In addition, the air intake for interior heating mounted on top of the engine grille proved effective in battles such as the Battle of the Ardennes, which was fought in snow. The Panther, a masterpiece tank with a good balance of mobility, firepower, and defensive capabilities, continued to be active until the end of the war.
